It gets about maybe 50 degrees fahrenheit here in the winter. As for filters I use a RENA for up to 350g in my 100g. It's pretty quite. But I am fairly new to the fish thing so I'm not sure on others peoples opinions. Good luck!

I tried the watermelon and NO one in the tank ate any of it. I have had my clowns and dojos for over a year and my pleco for over 7 and have never fed them any fresh veggies or fruit. Any advice on how to intice them to eat new foods? They have only been fed flakes and sometimes frozen food to this ...

A bit late to post a response but none the less here is my opinion. IF you decided to get clowns despite peoples advice they eat ghost shrimp. I bought about 50 one time to clean my tank and by the next day they were all gone QQ

Veggies for clowns

I have 4 clowns and 3 dojo and a pleco in my tank wondering what veggies to feed them and should they be cooked or raw? I know plecos will sometimes eat zucchini and clowns will eat broccoli and cauliflower I think. But again wondering if raw or cooked and what other veggies. Or maybe even fruit? ne...

MAYBE add a male Beta for color. I have 100g 6ft long tank and I almost always have 1 male and a couple females and they never have fin nipped. Anyway my point is you MAY be able to add 1 male if you dont have alot of fish with long flowing fins.

LOL Hound you are preaching to the choir I, in fact, stated in my 1st post that I did NOT research them. So I'm confused why you felt the need to point it out but what ever makes you happy :) Oh and Thank you for telling me they are NOT a loach. I read that they were and since the have very loach li...

Not sure about the light but that size tank, in my opinion, is WAY to small for even 2 clowns. And since they school, as I'm sure you know, you'll want 5 or more.
