Do you have any other information on the fish? Obviously collection area or country of origin would be hugely beneficial.

I'm not sure but it looks very much like Acanthocobitis pavonacea to me but I have only ever seen one photo of that species.

It sways very much into the More than likely will do. If they don't kill it outright they could damage, harass and stress them to death.

Mine have polished off Malaysian Trumpet Snails, common and pond, Ramshorn, unknowns and even adult Apple snails.

I'm afraid that the 190 tank would only be a short term home for them. They will soon need a much bigger tank - a minimum of 4'x2'x2' and preferably upwards of 6' long as they mature.

You would be right there. However who mentioned Polkadot Loaches? All I see in the pics are Y.sidthimunki and B.striata.

I was thinking more along the lines of Schistura alticrista..

Looks more like a Schistura or Nemecheilus species to me.
