Its 5 days post surgery. Spot gets his daily antibiotic injection, a quick look at his sutures and he's up and swimming.

As we know, he way to bring down nitrates is by water changes. Sounds like the fish store is trying to save on their water bill.

While passing through Walmart, they had a bin of DVDs for $5 and right on top was one called "The Weatherman". The price seemed right so I bought it. I've always liked Nicolas Cage as an actor. I think it's his sad puppy-dog eyes. Anyway, its one of the funniest sad movies I've ever seen. I'm curiou...

one seemed to lose weight after I got him home and developed a thin ‘knife back’ but lived happily for quite some time. I treated the tank for internal bacteria and treated it for 2 weeks with melafix. I introduced one further clown and a new angel fish These possible culprits may have introduced M...

Very nice. Thank you for sharing. When I first posted on this forum, everyone made me feel so guilty that I had only two clowns in a 55 gallon tank. I quickly added 4 more and rushed to get a larger tank. I think they've been it the 100+ gallon tank for about two years and haven't really grown very ...

They are beautiful fish but not very common here. I'll look for them but I need some other suggestions too.

Possibilities for Clown Companions

I’ve removed the angelfish that were in my 100+ gallon tank and speeded up the water movement a bit with an additional powerhead. The tank contains 6 clown loaches (3” and smaller), a regular ancistrus and a long-finned one (both males). I’m looking for tankmates but I am limited by what is availabl...

A bristlenose might out compete your other fish but the yo-yos will grab and run. I don't think you'll have a problem. Put in enough so there's plenty for all without over-feeding. You might consider putting the bristlenose from your tetra/ram tank in with the yo-yos and getting ottos for that tank.

The profile at the cichlid sight calls this fish mildly aggressive. That is a good sign. Also says mixes well with other cichlids--Also good sign. However, it can be hyper-aggressive defending spawning sights but with only one, shouldn't be a problem. Yours is much prettier than the picture shown at...
