Re: Catching Yoyos...
Thanks for the advice Glenna. I actually managed to catch 1 of the big ones when it hid in a piece of pipe above ground. Then I discovered I had counted wrong, as there is 1 large 1 not-so-large still left over. I just got back from 'house'(dog) sitting and I'm going to try and scare them out of the...

Would love to post a picture, or even see one of my large Yoyos...
~5" @ 1.25 years in my tank. Who knows how old they were when they got to the store, and how long they were in the store. There was a batch that was there for about 6 months at one point.

Catching Yoyos...
When I put together my last tank, I thought having a bit of conduit curved PVP pipe go under the substrate was going to be a good idea. Now I have upgraded to a larger tank and want to move my Yoyos into it. My 2 biggest live in the conduit pipe and if they come out at all, it is at night when I'm n...

Re: Finally got Dwarf Chain Loaches
The tank is a 3 foot long 35 gallon. I got 6 of them, there was a price break at that quantity, less than 6 was $13 each and 6 or more was $11 each ( 1 Canadian dollar is about 0.98 USD ) I would have got 6 anyway, they are a schooling fish ;) Another bit of a drive, but if you are interested in mo...

I believe that clowns are seasonal. The normal season for catching them is from March-July IIRC.

Re: Yoyo loach bigger than the other one
The situation described in my post were confirmed by many other owners. Official names does not matter sometimes. There exist two different varieties, and they differ in size and pattern-colour intensity. I have five of the same age and this diffrences are clearly visible. I would love to see your ...

Re: Yoyo loach bigger than the other one
YoYo is a commercial name. Actually we have 2 different species: botia lohachata and botia almorhae . I can give you a clue later, but try to research them first personally. You will discover that they have different colorations and sizes, but in the same batch at your local pet store you can buy b...

Re: My Loach Tank
Pics above are from my first time using my mom's DSLR. I actually figured out how to properly use it today instead of using auto for everything, so hopefully some of these look a bit better :) http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/5995/dsc8548i.th.jpg http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/885/dsc8544e.th....
