Great shots Martin.
I also find a tripod too restrictive especially in a larger tank.
Cheers
Brian

Thanks for the comments Martin. Coming from you its really a compliment. Have never noticed and breeding behavior with the threadfins. Never really tried to breed any of them as only have the one tank. Believe it or not there are 6 nice size clowns in there from 4-6 inches. The would probably clean ...

Thanks Martin - I'm a little dissapointed in the growth rate of the Geo's, thought they would be a little bigger by now, perhaps need to feed them more.... Also love the threadfins. Thanks for the comments Helen and Shari2. Helen, that yoyo is a fat little pig, at least double the size of any of the...

I've always thought my clowns had fine white spots on their foreheads. Went through my pics and found these. They are presented unadjusted, only cropped. Is this what you are talking about? http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i28/topline_2006/Clownc.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i28/topline_20...

Thanks Chris and Dave Chris.. Altifrons have been on my shopping list for a while now. They are extremely rare here in Perth, Western Australia (The most isolated capital city in the world). Some are available but their origins are unknown. Retail prices of altifrons start at AU$60.00 for a 5cm unid...

Thanks Dave_2133 This is how I do it.... Preamble... I use a digital slr. Try use lowest iso(asa) possible. I leave the tank lights on to help focussing. The light in my tank will not be relavant at the shutter speed and apeture selected. The flash (most flashes) has a really short burst, something ...

Small on camea flash, iso 100 and f8 which means the background recedes into darkness. Sophie: Thanks. I hope you do win the lottery and are able to fulfi...

Thanks guys Pics taken with flash and tank lights on. 1/60 second f8 so tank lights basically irrelavant and only help with focusing. Flash fired from the front so naturally gets darker behind the fish. Darken edges in photoshop. Feed NLS almost exclusively, on Saturdays they get earthworms, bloodwo...
