I have about a dozen Sids in my 30 gallon Barb tank.
There are some Anubias plants, rocks and driftwood.
I do have a powehead to move water in one section of the tank.
The Sids move from the current to the calmer parts of the tank and back again all the time

I am always on the lookout for new Loach species to me
I am always suggesting that Local Fish Stores check their source's fish listings for new species of Loaches and order them in to take a look

Re: Yo Yo Loaches suddenly hiding + getting startled easily
I know my tank is small for the clown loaches, but they are small now and when they get a few inches bigger, I plan on returning them to the LFS. Keep the loaches ... get a larger tank  When trying to catch loaches, I have two methods: 1. use two nets, one is usually black and the other is...

Re: Recent photos of some of my Loaches
Thanks all :) In the first photo, in addition to the 3 loaches in the photo, there are two more Red Tail Sand Loaches and 3 Horseface Loaches. The Horsefaces are always buried in the sand, but I do see them at feeding time ;) There is also a school of 13 Cardinal Tetras. In the "Blue Gravel 100 Gall...

Re: Comparing Botia histrionica, kubotai and almorhae
I suggest the Histrionica Loach as well.
It is out in the daytime far more than the other loaches.
They are hard to find, and when they are small, may be confused with yoyo loaches, so make sure you get the right one.
Good Luck and post a photo of your tank when the loaches are comfortable

Congratulations
Most of mine are about 7 or 8 years old, but one came to me already large, so I have no idea of its age

Re: Yoyo Loach with red mouth
Could be irritation from a different substrate, or a bacterial infection.
Try some Pimafix and Melafix.
Keep doing partial water changes every few days until it clears up

Re: Creating a mini river set up for hillstreams
The White Cloud Mountain Minnows like a good flow in the tank but Neon Tetras do not. The Neons also like it warmer than 20 degrees C ( 68F ) they like temps in the 77F ( 25C ) range. It would be best to give any remaining neons to another fishkeeper that has space for them ;) Good Luck with your mi...
