Re: Clown Loach Fry.

Wow! I am so sorry for all you recent fish troubles!

I would also love to see photos when you have them. An interesting puzzle!

Discussion here suggests either Acanthocobitis pavonacea or Lepidocephalichthys annandalei

Looks like he got the same list :)

We just got another batch from WetSpot, have also ordered from Frank and AquaBid. Latest fish arrived cold, is truly the end of the fish-shipping season for us up here.

Not sure about weather in the UK, but then again Portland, OR to Vermont is further than you are likely to get fish shipped!

Feeding fry -- vacation problem

Well, out of town anyway. They are hard to count, but we suddenly have somewhere close to a billion fry (mostly Danio Kyathit, now with some apistos and Kilis and maybe even some rasboras), and a bunch of adolescent CPDs, and it turns out we will both be out of town at the same time, for about 5 day...

I would be interested as well...

Would assume the same would hold for straight rainwater? Or not?

Got a couple more Renas on the way. Just on the phone with my mum and she couldn't talk long because all the water flowing through here made her have to pee....

But for fry tanks it seems we will likely continue to use some sponge filters -- are there any air pumps that are quieter?

Danio Kyathit breeding?

OK, I found an old thread on another forum which Martin and Mick had contributed to -- perhaps they and others will weigh in here. Does anyone have photos of fry? We've been putting the marbles and plants from several spawning tanks into one fry tank and Cloudhands saw something quite different look...

We have Rasbora Espei (similar to harlequin) and danio kyathit in our loach tank, although we don't have Clowns. Clowns get big, so the Rasboras might eventually get eaten. The danios really like to play in the current.

The forum is here for asking questions :)

We got our 120 off of Craigs;ist, and it seems larger tanks come up fairly regularly.

As for Plecos, we have an L204 -- they stay small but are POOP MONSTERS -- gotta vac twice a week 'cause of him (he is pretty though)
