well i bought my yoyos from the same batch from the store at different times (i have 7) and sime are dweebs and dont eat and hide and never grow where a few are getting enormeous. not really but still over 2 inches a bit. where the small one looks an inch and a half :roll: . Well it depends where you live. If i were in the US i would have a nice shoal of kubotai and Striata. The are small and nice. Also my yoyos are ally not that zippy and aggressive. They have a pearl gourami in their shoal and chill with it. And one outcast hangs with the corys. Also how about dwarf c...

yea the minerilized topsoil with 2-3mm gravel on top will look sweet. Or go completely high tech and waste your money on aquasoul :D . I like the idea of the bigger tank and the huge discus. A shoal of clowns would look nice in their and maybe consider buying your loaches on the net instead of those...

hmm, ive seen these white long worms in a hole in the yard just below some larvae. That might be it. you may have scooped some wroms when you got the larvae

same here in my current tank. I didnt know anything about planted tanks so i got 1 t8 bulb, just smooth pebbkes and barbs. Im currently setting up a high tech planted tank with substrate high lights, Co2, fertz and carpeting plants. i hope those yoyos dont rip it out though .

yea the sand on top should be fine. just get a coupe of inches on top so nothing leaches. I think its because the topsoil is fine aswell. And thats shocking with the high salts. they should be completely SALT FREE.

my rosy barbs can actually get aggresive to the yoyos making them hide where as my gourami defends them and is realy the perfect dither.

welcome. i doubt they are emperors as they are hard to import. more likely to be histronica. emperors come from a dangerois area.

not really im in the progress of making mine and will be adding potash and dolomite lime and bloos and bone on the base, and clay with the soil on top capped with fine gravel.
