So, yesterday morning I noticed different behaviour from my 2 plecos. The female was in his cave, under him. Usually, the female is on one side of the tank, and the male on other. ^Exactly! Bloodworms, flake, and brine shrimp are all great foods! Probably no need for a heater- only too keep temperature steady.

I definitely agree with the points made. I have a tank with an UGF filter, combined with a small stingray filter- one of my cleanest tanks. I can also see the bottom of this one. It is pretty clean- never had any problems with this tank.

If you do go with bettas, you can ONLY have females. Males will fight to death, and having a pair is just as bad. Look up some "150 gallon freshwater community tank stocking" ideas- they might give you another stocking idea that works.

Male and female bettas will fight to death. Only females can be kept together- in groups of 5- absolute minimum. Males will kill each other- or seriously hurt each other. They would not work with your current stocking idea. Smaller tanks are easier- since they breathe air, it is easier for them to s...

Yep. Vacuum the sand- hold the siphon an inch or 2 over the sand- not pushing the siphon down into the substrate like you would for gravel. It will get pushed through with the water isf you go too low with the siphon. This will pick up the waste on the top layer. Because sand is fine, waste particle...
