I am moving my tank to another side of the room within a month, maybe time to change to gravel.

The Sids are not in the tank anymore, they started to get a little territorial. So I sold them to join a bigger pack of Sids before any damage was done. Bet they are happier now.

The temp at the moment is 23C, which surprised me. It should be 24-24,5C. The heater has some issues....

I understand, but still think the range should be something like 22-26C. And to mention that they can stand higher temps, so people wont freak out when in summertime the tanks temp rises over 24C. When saying joining light and heater, you mean on the timer? That is not a bad idea, never thought abou...

Very interesting, something that should be tested.

After all resent posts regarding the temps of the habitats of Gastromyzons, I think that the temperatures in the species index should be changed. People might be keeping them in too cool.

Very nice, excellent pictures! And a big thanks for the water parameters. In my opinion the usual recommendations are a bit low for Gastromyzons, 20-24C.

This isn't the first time, I have had tens of Sewellias sold earlier. So I am aware of the slow growing. But this was unexpected with the setup of fish I have.

I have two, which appear to me male & female. They have shown no bigger aggression towards each other or other fish, yet. Even a Sewellia fry has survived them. But after reading the comments above they will be in closer inspection.

HUGE surprise fry

After lights out I was checking the tank for two Atyopsis sp. , hadn't seen them in a while. But I found them and also a little Sewellia of the size 1cm. This was a huge surprise because of the tanks other inhabitants, Sid's & Schistura cf. balteata being the biggest predators. Also when there is on...
