Clown loach re-home?

Hello I am having a dilemma at the moment and wondered if there was anyone with some advice? I have 3 clown loaches who are overdue on being moved into a bigger more suitable tank. I originally planned to have the clowns for a year (or less) and then pass them onto my boyfriend with a far more suite...

i added some plants from online company...these seemed to leave a small clouds of a clear membrane style substance which i thought must have been some sort of fertilser treatment. I have managed over about 3 weeks with my water changes to get rid of it. The other fish seem fine. the juveniles have b...

possible yoyo skin problem?

Hi Im a little concerned about my yoyo's. I have one 2 year old and 2 juveniles. I have been monitoring them and have noticed that they have been flashing a little more than normal. The 2 year old has what looks like scrapes on his sides from this flashing. I dont think it is Ich. Eating is normal, ...

Re- home my yoyo's?

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me? I am reluctantly looking to rehome 2 yoyo's (1 is almost 3yrs old and the other is about 1.5 yrs old i think). There has been too much aggression since a reintroduction of a young male. I had 3 yoyo's - moved them to a bigger tank and 1 disappeared! Nowher...

How long to maturity

How long does it take for a Clown Loach to reach maturity? I have had Yoyo's for 3 years and they were pretty much fully grown within 1 year. Is it the same for the Clowns? Im assuming not, as the ones I have now, which are great, have had a few growth spurts but are still fairly small in clown term...

Thanks guys

Thanks everyone for the advice. The 3 clowns are back together and are still 'dancing' up and down the tank, but it has significantly lessened since yesterday im happy to say. And they are moving off to do other loach type stuff, grazing and hidding n the like. I think they're great and dont like to...

whew no leak anymore

Well, the mysterious leak is no more, so thank god that was a false alarm :) But still, if anyone out there can put my mind at ease about my new loaches behaviour, id be most grateful. I recently moved my yoyo loaches (3 of them) into their new accomodation, n after about 3 days i could only see 2. ...

possible leak

Can anyone advize on a possible leak found coming from my tank? I happily bought 3 clown loaches yesterday, moved some rocks around (carefully i might add :? ) to accomodate them, plus a few plants. As i did this i noticed i was spilling a little more water than i normally do. Today when checking on...

opt for the separate tank idea

Yes, I think il get a couple of snails n put them in the small tank. Do they need the same 'treatment' as the fish? By that I mean do i use filter n heater etc etc like with the fish? (hee hee it reminds me of times as a little girl collecting cockles from beaches. I remember carrying them back to t...
