What you see in the pictures is the wound after a pimple burst. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of it. I was lucky to get these pictures. He's been hiding for quite some time, and I thought he died, just like a couple of months ago, but he reappeared this evening. I wish I knew what it was....

Thank you for the help, everyone. Shadowing is exactly the behavior I've been witnessing: Shadowing - A behaviour noted in many Botiine species, particularly clown loaches. One or more of the smaller, subordinate fish swim as closely as possible to a larger more dominant fish, often appearing as if ...

It definitely heals up, and that's what is so frustrating. My quarantine tank is filled with new fish right now, but I agree that he should be treated separately, if possible. However, do you normally recommend "cleaning out" fish with both Levamisole AND Prazipro? I really didn't have a reason to t...

Ghosting?
I read a few posts where Marcos described, and even posted a video of one of his Yoyo botia's behavior where he used the term "ghosting." I searched online last night, but couldn't find any information about this activity. A few of my smaller Clown Loaches do this to my largest clown all the time. H...

Recurring non-lethal blister bursting problem - pictures
I made this post back in October: http://forums.loaches.com/viewtopic.php?t=15498&highlight= These blisters grow, burst, then heal. I finally managed to get some pictures of one of these wounds. It always appears in the same area. The fish flashes, looks slightly skinny compared to other Kubotais of...

Icewall42 , do you currently live in Pennsylvania? We've had some issues with our water quality, including excessively high TDS levels, near Pittsburgh due to natural gas drilling. This web page has several links to articles about our problem: http://www.uppermon.org/Marcellus_Shale/Marcellus_Shale_...

I didn't know he played Phish, but wouldn't recognize their music anyway. Maybe I'll give them a chance one of these days? Years ago, my best friend's friend attended a party hosted by one of the band members and supposedly saw William - (edit...actually, Jonathan) Frakes from Star Trek doing a bong...

I keep forgetting that some of you have those high flow hillstream setups.Jim Powers wrote:Well, the problem I have is the current. If I don't take the worms to the bottom they blow all over the tanks and the dithers get most.
I also enjoy having some of the hillstreams feed from the end of the feeding tube.

I soak mine in Kent Garlic Extreme and Boyd Vita Chem, so I can't really get rid of the liquid. Try the turkey baster, though. All the loaches come right up to the top.Jim Powers wrote:I get the liquid out of mine so I can better use a feeding tube to get the worms down to the bottom for the loaches.
