from Sarawak of course. Syntopic with G. stellatus which is rare in shipments too.

Re: Hillstream loach ID
Hi That's G. contractus. In the last shipment there were different "unusual" species. Apart of H. humilis, G. lepidogaster and other not yet identified species. https://picload.org/view/daodgllw/_csc2149.jpg.html https://picload.org/view/daodglcr/_dsc1975.jpg.html https://picload.org/view/daodglca/_...

Re: Sewellia for sale but not lineolata?
Hi That's no problem, they don't crossbreed. Actually I have S. lineolata, SEW03 and SEW01 in one tank with about 200 youngsters. All without any sign of cross-breeding. Some time ago in one tank SEW02 and SEW02 without cross-breeding which I had exspected. By the way: have a good look that the othe...

Re: Sewellia for sale but not lineolata?
Hi I would say Sewellia SEW03. http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/sewellia-sp-sew03/ But: as stressed specimen kann lose a clear pattern and Sewellia SEW02 is quite similar in pattern and as they develop the definitive pattern with growth ... That means, saddleback markings e.g. can be incomplete/...

Re: Normal Sewellia behavior?
Hi
Part of the ranking/dominance fight. Common in Sewellia, Gastromyzon and others.
Remember the jumping African gazelles (e.g. springbuck, impalas, tommies)? Says: "I'm sound and strong, and I've seen you" and with "territorial" Sewellias "I'm the boss here".
Cheers Charles

Re: panda loach(goby) [Protomyzon pachychilus]
Hi Yaoshania pachychilus has been bred by Friedrich Bitter in 2014. Report in AMAZONAS September/Oktober. As he has visited the origin river in south-china, he had some interesting news about to report. First question in keeping is, why they are so hard to keep in longer terms. Mine had all gone aft...

Re: New Loach Questions
HI Wild caught from Borneo are rare in trade. And fragile, when they arrive in Jambi/Sumatra. That's a problem of storage in Borneo itself. So they must be properly fed before export. From Sumatra itself there is traded a tiny quantity of wild caught specimen, less than 7 cm long. Larger specimen ar...

Thanks all.
No idea, Michael. Just one of this size. The rest is tiny and hiding well/staying away from light. Just tails moving in the pebbles.
Cheers Charles
