I find that mine pick at my sword's leaves only when there is something on the leaves. Basically they end up looking like Swiss Cheese...you know...before they die...

They look very nice whatever they may be named. I swear I'm so jealous of all you folks with new loaches. I haven't seen anything other than Clown Loaches at the LFS in over 2 years. Sigh.

I decided to put him down. I watched him struggle in the hospital tank for another week and a half. I think the constant swimming overcame his ability to take in food. Over that week and a half he lost even more weight. :(

Must be one of those "Your mileage may vary" kind of things. PSP are chain stores, but given Maidenhead is a chain of sorts (right Emma?) I guess it depends on the owners/operators dedication to tropical fish keepers. Thx for the info.

Nice looking fish. Where abouts in Michigan are you? I'm located in SE lower Michigan and I'm looking for a good LFS for loaches. I am in Kalamazoo so SW lower michigan. Each of my Dojos came from a different store. I just keep my eyes out for extraordinary ones. Pet Supplies Plus is the only store...

Sure looks like one of my pair. Mine are about 4 inches long, but only one is as reticulated as much as the one in your photos. The other of the pair still has yo-yo written on its sides. Anyway, I'm no expert so take this with a very large grain of salt.

Thanks. That video gives a good visual difference between the smaller power head and that monster which is mounted next to the glass. A very nice setup.

Rivertank Manifold

I just picked up a 135 gallon 6 foot tank. I am looking at the modified River Tank Manifold (Martin rocks) and I was wondering if anybody had set one up with dual Aquaclear 110 powerheads. I have a desire to house Clown Loaches, YoYo loaches, and perhaps a couple other of the smaller sized (5in max)...

So, it has been about 12 days since I treated the fish with the anti-biotic/anti-fungal medicine. I'm sad to say he just doesn't seem to be getting any better. Indeed, I sat and watched the hospital tank for about 5-10 mins every night since I posted here and the poor fish spent every second swimmin...

Hi Oilhands, You could try Nifurpirinol which is a broad spectrum synthetic antibiotic that was designed exclusively for fish. It is very effective against internal and external bacterial infections and can be used with anti-parasitic and anti-fungal medicines. It will also kill the bacteria in you...
