Very, very sad to hear about the fungus problem. It was a demon fungus that scared me away from real wood years ago - broke my heart and nearly my mind trying to eradicate the stuff. Heavy salt brine soaking (1 month) and sunshine finally fixed the wood, but it was a 3 month ordeal. It was a silvery...

They do work well on the frozen Brine Shrimp too. I really like the Spirulina Brine and I can put them in the Cone Feeder and not have to shut down any pumps. When I have Bloodworms in the cone I usually give the cone a few shakes to set some free so the boys will have something to go rooting around...

Val, You might want to make sure you don't have too bright of a lighting set up going as well. I use the standard old style florescent type bulbs. A single bulb 48" on my 75 gallon. This isn't good if you are trying for live plants however. But for fish only the Loaches will be much happier. The new...

Fairly similar, they only get to about 5" I believe. Same types of behavior, diet, water conditions. They are compatible together in the same tank, I have 7 Clowns and 4 Zebras in a 75 and they do fine together. There are some much more qualified experts on this forum who can give you much more spec...

The tree stump came from www.drsfostersmith.com - It is 2 identical ones nested together and the "legs" filled with gravel so nobody gets stuck. The Cone Feeder I got from a LFS they seem harder to come by in the States since the last time I had tanks. This is a Large size one. Made by Lee's. Do a G...

The Rainbows will squabble a bit, just the males, but no worse and only amongst themselves, less even than your Clowns will as they get bigger. All harmless though, not like they will be tearing each other's fins up. The Zebra (Striata) Loaches look so nice in the tank with the Clowns. Those and som...

Bosemani Rainbows as well as Australian Rainbows and Turquoise Rainbows all do well in a wide range of water conditions and are very hardy fish. They go very well with Clowns. I have all three of those types of Rainbow fish in with my Clowns, Striata and YoYo Loaches and they do great together. Rain...

Zebras go pretty good with the Clowns and it is good that they remain smaller - that way your Clowns will obviously be the head Loach in the tank. I have the two together and they work out nice. I also have another tank with Clowns and YoYo Loaches - Again the Clowns are Bigger and it is their tank....

Nice Pics! That's the first time I've seen a cone feeder. What kind of food do you use with that? Anything that floats? The Striatas look really good, (as do all the fish). How big are they? I bought a couple a few months ago, they're only about an inch or so in length now. They're defiantly good l...

Small Clowns are fairly common here, sadly lots of skinnies though. It has taken me month's to get to 7 - 4" Clowns. We have some nice stores that have some well maintained tanks and good people, but they tend to be all Marine or are geared toward Cichlids for fresh. And then the Big Box mega stores...
