For the antibiotic part, do you think it would be safe to mix furan-2 and kanamycin in the food?

I find that if you bring the gravel and decorations to a new tank, the good bacteria bounces back after a day or so. There's usually a day or so where you have slightly cloudy water, which I believe is a sign that your good bacteria is in bloom. Then I think it goes clear again when levels are good....

I think there is great variation within fish species, which is why we so often post here asking what species a fish is. It's likely that it's a Pangio kuhli with a different pattern. I'm a part of that power outage in Ohio, they say it could take 5-7 days to get it back. I can do water changes everyday to keep the rest of the fish alive, but I'm worried about the still water and the hillstreams. Will they be okay?

No, it wasn't Petco, it was Aquarium Adventures.
