Ok, so that is the coolest setup I have seen in a while. You really have fun with this, don't ya chefkeith! I tried a similar setup with my river dam tank but without the misters and my ferns soon dried up. Your's is like a complete eco system or thats where its heading. Will you ever put loaches in...

I still can't get over that lone Modesta of yours. He's a handsome devil that seems to fit right in also!! Kate I could not see the Modesta, not sure I did. I did see Marcos VDO taping though. Marcos, seems that Bigbotia already has claimed the top in pecking order as he pecks away at the smaller c...

Your fish all look beautifull had healthy. BTW, how are your nitrates? My story is similar to Emma's. I got my oldest Botia in the fall of 94 and currently He (she?) is the smallest about 7 inches (TL). It has been outgrown by all my newer clowns, even the baby one I got about 8 years ago. My larges...

Hi Shar, it would definitely be a good idea to treat the two Clowns in the 10G tank before you transfer them to your 90G tank. Also, Unless I see a picture, I cannot tell you if the hole with the white spot is fin rot, a bite or an infected bite. (Two) clowns alone can definitely and constantly batt...

Hi Poeticpyro, I agree with all the other experienced loach owners on this post with not keeping Modestas with Clowns together. Modestas go through phases and if not agressive towards the clowns now, they will be later. They may live togerther but is it worth the stress to the Clowns? If you do deci...

Ah, the memories. Can't say. He disappeared one day. Literally. Just. Was. Gone. No sign of him/her anywhere, no previous signs of illness, nada. Just gone. I guess Emma's last report would explain this. I had three as well and only ended up with one. Never knew what happened to the other two. They...

Andre, thats some serious turrent flowing waters.

I wonder whats the GPH there :D

I think that during these type of floods the clowns do a lot their shadowing which possibly lead up to their breeding behaviors shortly afterwards.

I uses to have skunks and for their size, they are quite vicisous. I once had a large 150G tank with about 13 different species of loaches. The skunks did not do so well with the introduction of the eos's and the males soon died. One female remainded until she died from being swollen with eggs. My s...
