I must have muted my camera. I will drop some of that Midwest drawl on ya next time Mick. I like the...

Very good news Emma, I will be watching from the Prarie....... be very careful Rave, i've seen this fish make cichlids go white and cower in a corner. and the S.Helodes will pound the S.Beauforti to the same degree, these are best with Blues or as a specie set up IMHO, They are the least aggressive ...

From what I have observed of him at the shop he was definitely the boss of the tank, however this was with fish his own size or smaller and he wasn't outwardly aggressive even considering the smaller size of the tank he was housed in. At about 2.5" he would be on a par with the smaller Yo-yos in th...

Mine took 3-4 years to get full length, about 4"-5" US growing fast the first two ,then filling out, They live about ten years or so ime, maybe twice that if yer good. I keep 20 plus together in a 180 US gallon dead pool type tank , great fun at feeding time. If your growth has stalled increase your ...

This or beauforti would be the two to try but your mileaga may vary. I kept the latter with Blue Botia and no issues. I do belive tank size, structure and crowding would all factor higher than mixing the specie BUT ................... I keep my helodes with hymenophysa and that is an excellent combin...

That is a slime coat issue. It is caused by water conditions. My guess as you are a long time fish keeper there is a build up of waste in and under the rocks in your tank. They should be rinsed occasionaly The waste accumulates in that style gravel and your fish keep growing so there is more all the...
