I see. Pity. Only time I've seen these in a shop is when they specifically got them for me from the supplier.
It should work.. Just put a stone in it as well.

Re: First Hillstream tank (loaches and Gobies)
Awesome! I'm sure you know which type of gravel they prefer. Sand doesn't work so well for spawning.
Going to post more pics later.

Re: First Hillstream tank (loaches and Gobies)
Thank you Jim. To be honest, I don't know. The algae has come in stages. Firs light dust algae, then hair, then BBA, and now this proper green algae. My lights are on for very long (more than 10 hours) and I dose NPK even if there's only moss, and no CO2.

Re: First Hillstream tank (loaches and Gobies)
The post isn't that old... I have 6 left, sadly. They are pro jumpers. All of them jumped out from time to time. They do okay in the current. Doesn't seem as if they are struggling. They do keep to calmer areas though. But they do okay. If I turn off the 3000lph wavemaker then they'll do even better...

Re: P.myersi spawning
Due to the infrastructure in the tank, meaning the large rocks and the piping, it would be hard to do that. I don't have a lot of open substrate space. If I buy larger grain gravel then I will replace all of the sand though.

P.myersi spawning
I recently got 6 Pseudogastromyzon myersi in my Hillstream tank (look in freshwater section). They had a few dominance fights and also dug quite a few holes for spawning. The problem is, I have sand and in other places gravel with about 8 - 12mm grain size. The gravel is too heavy for them to dig an...
