I'm so unimaginative with my names. Everyone gets called Mr X or Mrs X depending on what gender and species they are. Doesn't work for the praecox rainbows or the Danio dangila as there's just too many, although the alpha danio is often called....actually I can't repeat it here.....as he eats the lo...

I think we all wish we had more money for even bigger tanks, even Emma with her 8'!!

Kubotai's are beautiful aren't they. Up to you really. A group of striata's would be great though, stay a bit smaller too.

How long have they stayed that size? My younger three have been about 3" for a few months now. My older two were that size for a long time then suddenly shot up an inch in the space of a couple weeks.

I must say I'm stunned that Kaz's fish have stayed that small after a whole year.....

Can anyone shed any light on fish growth being stunted like that? Its just I'm not so sure your fish are stunted brett_fishman.....I see mine going through various growth spurts. They'll not grow much for a while then suddenly, almost overnight, become much larger.

How are plans for the indoor pond comming, Emma? Oh, they're way off yet. Got to have an extension built on the house with a conservatory first! Thats dedication! What sort of dimentions is it going to be? And will it be sunken into the ground or raised up with glass sides? (Sorry if I'...

Check out tanks on ebay. Get as large a tank as possible for what you can afford (just to feed the addiction really)! Free Ads in your local paper too. With any luck you'll get something so much bigger than you'd be able to afford new.

They're tiny! I'm not really sure about the whole growth stunting thing, you'll have to wait for a reply from somebody who knows more about it than I do. At the size they're at I personally don't think they're being too hard done by, but they'll probably reach 2-3 inches in a matter of months. Then ...

I think you really need to get a bigger tank already. Yoyo's grow shockingly fast so in a few months the three you already have will need more space. I've got 5 in a 180litre tank and I get the feeling that I should get them in a bigger tank when they're all fully grown. Great fish to have though, g...

Oh right, it must be to do with the upload/my connection possibly as what I was seeing was more like 1 frame per second! And I wasn't criticizing the actual filming of it, rather, I'm quite impressed that you got such good clips of something so small! Keep it up, these images are making this my favo...
