I really hope they'll accept photographs based on the current situation. What worries me is that the guy I eventually spoke to was supposed to be the aquarist specialist with Harbour Veterinary group, yet he seemed completely unconcerned for the wellfare of the fish being moved around in a delicate ...

Right, so after much phoning around I've been told I have to take all the infected fish to the vet otherwise they can't sell me anything....its the law. So I have to catch two adult Botias and two angels in a semi-planted tank. And if they're already ill the stress could kill them. I asked if taking...

You wonderful, wonderful people (with the same 'especially' list as before)! I love this forum. I will treat (well, force upon) you all to more pictures of my fish once I've gotten this sorted out. My apologies to Mad Duff for hijakking his thread! I should have started a new thread for this but I r...

Thanks for your help everyone, particularly shari2 and Emma (by mail). My work shifts today are 5.30-9am then 1-4pm, so normally I'd be sleeping in between but I think frantically visiting various vets to find somebody who knows something about fish is a better use of my time today! What form would ...

Oh crap that is worrying. I noticed it within the last day or two, but looking at some older pics of the angels there was a very small hemorrhage on the angel as much as several weeks ago....can't think how this could have happened as I hadn't added any new fish for months by this point and I've alw...

I tried my almorhae 's on it and they loved it! So many good pictures but I've forced myself to limit this post to four: http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n38/palaeodave/melon1.jpg Three of the five there having a munch. The adult chases the smaller ones away in minute! http://i108.photobucket.com/...

Great news for your loaches. But what exactly is levimasole? Seen lots of people talk about it but nobody has said specifically what it does! I take it that its a treatment for parasites? I have five angelfish and all but one of them have grown well. The runt of the group eats well, is active and se...

The fact that they're calling them 'crown' loaches (not an easy type-o to make!) doesn't fill me with confidence! :?

I love my big girl (Mrs Almorhae I call her, that or Sadie). I can hardly believe she manages to stay upright on a belly like that!

I agree that ebay really isn't the place to be selling fish (perhaps with the exception of people selling their tank with fish included for pick up only). However: "The fishes well being is our first priority, we will not take any risks when dispatching them which is why we ask for you to be there o...

Um, isn't that just a chain loach? I see them all the time in my LFS. Didn't realise they were endangered or hard to get in the hobby!
