What makes you think you should be using medicines without proper diagnosis yet? Meds can harm your fish...

PLEASE help to Stop the Death
Ok, so I have had my loach tank running for about a year and a half now. I recently upgraded the filter because two of my loaches got sick and died. They started getting verry skinny and had red gills and were swimming at the top (trying to get more oxygen i think). Before they died they had dropsy ...

Does he still have spots? Could be he was just rolling to rub them, rather than flashing? They do like to lounge about. As long as otherwise he seems normal it doesn't sound like a balance issue, more like he did it deliberately. The one that was rolling over didn't have any spots that I could see....

So I'll supose its still working. I'll do a 50% water change before the next does of meds. They are still flashing pretty hars...

f you do use salt, you need to crank up the temp to at least 82, to get rid of the ICH. When you don't see anymore spots, back off of the salt, do water changes, but leave the temp up for a couple weeks. I have the temp at a steady 85f and it has been like that seince the second day of ich. First d...

(When putting in the green stuff to cure ICH it took about 30 seconds for the whole tank to ...

possibly reconsider the magical properties of salt too. it isnt as magical as its cracked up to be, in my opinion I have been hearing that alot about clown loaches. The last thing I want is more stress upon them. I think I am going to seriusly debate future water changes with no salt. The people wh...
