every tank needs some cheezy decor. have you thought about adding bog wood? my loaches love swimming through the tunnels that they have created under it.

none of my loaches have ever touched the plants; yoyos, kubotai and kuhlis its more the silver dollars that shred them to pieces.

cleaning/vacuuming sand without sucking it up

i recently upgraded my tank and thought it was a good opportunity to change the substrate, so i went with black sand. yesterday was the first time i vacuumed it using a siphon to clean it and it all got sucked up so after tipping all the old water out of the bucket i had to return the sand. is there...

they are King British tropical fish mini pellets. i live in england so if you're from some where else they might not sell them. putting them in the filter overflow is a good idea i might have to try that as my loaches are in a community tank they have top feeders to compete with and i always wonder ...

hes just under 2 inches these are mini pellets theyre about a third of the size of regular pellets. my loaches and catfish love them the only problem is you have to put more in as the top feeding fish can get/eat them more easily then the regular pellets and they sink more slowly so i pre soak them.

just an update i got another two loaches of the same species and straight away the original loach started attacking them to the point that the other 2 just sat in the top corner of the tank and were clearly very unhappy, so i decided (as i have been thinking about it for over a year now) that i woul...
