Most botine species will eat snails. If you don´t wan´t them eat, better not introducing them.
Mine clowns, for example, love snails:

Newcomer
I had a visitor in my home today. A friend who had a solitaire Clown loach on his tank. He exchanged it for a 2000 L/h used powerhead I had. This newcomer is 7cm long and 1 year old.
