They look almost like a type of long arm shrimp. If so, I would at least keep an eye on your fish. The shrimp may be an opportunist.

Stiphodon Genus I would love those since they remind me so much of my darters, and http://www.franksaquarium.com/goby.htm makes me drool, but he is out of them all and I've looked everywhere. I can get S. elegans via Segrest Farms when they have them occasionally, but otherwise I'm stumped...[/url]...

Welcome Anthony.
Very nice. 8) I believe there are just different patterns, and no two are exactly alike. You will need to show some nitrates to keep live plants long term.

X 2 on Stealth heaters. I have used them for years without fail. My heater controller on the other hand, hooked to a Titanium heater core{used in a 90 reef..it's a Finnex} has died I don't know how many times..3 or 4, and had to be replaced. I gave up and got a large regular heater. My friend who ow...

How about the green neon tetra (Paracheirodon simulans} They are actually not green, they are blue. They are the fish you see in most planted tanks, like in Japan, competitions, etc.

The shrimp will stay terrified in with a betta, I do not agree. Shrimp alone is the best way to see them act normal. Yes, they do eat some algae. The nerites clean my plants and glass in my cube. Some are red, gold, all kinds of cool colors. Invertz Factory sells them. The ones I have are called tri...

The intake for the powerhead is 1/2". Are you suggesting I use an adapter to 3/4"?
Also, what about using something such as these on the intake side?

Thanks for the tips turtleguy. So to make a manifold, I need 1/2" pipe. Where can I find the coarse sponge part for the intake in black?

Keep the betta alone please, add a few nice horned nerites and enjoy him. That many fish{kuhlis can grow to 4"} in that small of a tank will seriously compromise the water quality for your betta, leading to problems such as fin rot or dropsy. Kuhli loaches should have a minimum 20 gal tank.
