I have found not using the flash makes for a much better pic but does also depend on if your using a good camera, if your using no flash make sure your aquarium lights are on. if not the 45% angle needs to be used, I use a fujifilm s20 pro which has its own enhancers in it and takes a pretty darn go...

if your worried about ya water stick a UV on seems to knock the hell outta bad water thats for sure, been told it can kill alot of stuff out the water (not the fish) like white spot so defo could be worth a look

my 5inch is fine with the other loaches infact he/she seems to watch out for them in a fish kinda fashion, i see no real reason why a 5 gallon cant house fine for a week or so while quarantining fish i use a 60 litre tank for mine but i have the sapce for it if i didint and only had room for a 5 gal...

in reply to space for a quarantine i have seen this for my self a friend of mine has a large 100gallon like mine and has fitted a 12" squared tank inside it just above water level and he uses it for a hospital/quarantine tank and it works fantastic its just plain glass not sand/gravel and he has it ...

hi loachy friends i have been scouring the lfs's all over kent and so far come up with 1 yoyo lol i am desperate to find him some friends ideally about 4 he is about 4inches long at the mo altho he does seem quite happy with my clowns and blue botia i think he will defo benefit from more yoyo's but ...

i have found that using hoplo cats as dithers seems to work and the clowns and hoplos are great together i have 6 hoplos in mine and all my loaches get along with them wonderfully and dont scare to easy eitherbut as said before there are many to choose from
