Re: Small clown loach not doing well

Mike, I see that you said the fenbendazole is panacur. I have panacur paste and am wondering if that would work?? I have used it on my persian kittens, etc. If the paste won't work, I can get pills from the vet.
Thanks!!

I am not sure if I can get live bloodworms, sad to say! Our stores have about the basics and that is it. When I go to Omaha, Nebraska next wk. I'll see if I can find some there. I am in Nebraska, so it's now very cold and they probably couldn't be shipped!! Tahnk you, once again!! Your loach must be...

Re: Small clown loach not doing well

pangiophile, I think Earl May had API General Cure. I'll check on Fri. as they are closed today, I am sure!Thank you! Also, using the garlic, do I put the little chunks of garlic in the tank, too? Or do I just want the flavor with the other foods? I mixed bloodworms, Hikari pellets and frozen marine...

Re: Small clown loach not doing well

I did find that I had Parasite Guard, by Jungle, so used it. I am keeping my fingers crossed, as it is 3 yrs. old. I didn't see an expiration date. When I was asking about treating the other tank this loach was in, I thought there could be an issue with those fish, concerning a possible intern...

Re: Small clown loach not doing well

I don't have flubendazole, etc., but do have formaldehyde (1 drop/10 gal.), per a wholesaler, when I had my pet store. Also, I have SF Bay Marine Cuisine (frozen) (We live in an area with limited resources!!) I have freeze-dried bloodworms at the vets home, but I won't be going there until tomorrow....

Small clown loach not doing well

I have brought home a small clown loach, from the veterans home, because I thought he was getting pushed away from the food. He is with a couple yoyo loaches, a zebra danio and a fairly large pleco. This little one is quite thin and I have put him in a net, by himself, to hopefully get him to eat. W...

Red Parrot Cichlid

The 2 red parrots that I got, along with green barbs, are doing very good! One cichlid (Larger than the other one, which I am wondering might be a female) is a male and is a bit aggressive towards a pleco in the tank. They "spar" occasionally and I do worry about the pleco. Should he be removed and ...

Re: Boy, am I an idiot!! :)

I have joined a puffer group and learning a bit more!. Fed an earth worm to the survivor (at my house) and he really gobbled it up! 1 did die and the one at the vets home was OK yesterday! Will go back this aft. after I wake up (I work nights). I'll keep researching and asking questions. I don't thi...

Re: Boy, am I an idiot!! :)

Well, I have removed 2 puffers and left one in the 45g. - the aggressive devil!! :) One fish was missing so I brought the 2 home and took them to work with me, to find out if they would take them back. Yes, they would, JUST TO FLUSH THEM!!!!!!! They said they couldn't return them to their tank becau...

Boy, am I an idiot!! :)

I bought 5 Green Spotted Pufferfish to put in one of the 45 gal. tanks I take care of. The label said they could be with mollies and several other fish, so I thought they would be OK with 3 platys. There is also a pleco. Well, when I got home, I did research on them and discovered they are best by t...

Re: Fantail Goldfish in 45 gal Bow Front

I didn't get to the vet home for 3 days (I usually go every other day) and I was in SHOCK!!!! The fantails had the worse case of ick I have ever seen!!!!! There are blood streaks in their fins (adding Melafix) and I started medicating with Jungle's Ick Guard, as that is what was available. I will hu...
