Very nice. Reminds me of Innuit art a bit.

Martin.

Much appreciated :) no need to apologize. It is indeed a rough draft and I'll be posting the refined version in a few days.

Everyone e-mail me so I can make a list of who to send the posters too. rocco.mapua@gmail.com

Also coming up are botia striata and botia kubotai treated similarly :)

Geez. Everyone lays on the pressure...

Let's cheer Rocco on, for now, and hope for a limited edition series we can buy. I'd send money for these. I'm just curious about the new designs...

Ok guys, since you've brought it up, I kinda need to fulfill a job training requirement for school and part of it is enterpreneurial(sp?)

So... I've planned to

1. make t-shirts,
2. sell prints,

and

3. sell the digital files in PDF form.

Earning in a foreign currency would totally destroy the quota I need to hit. Let me figure out printing costs, shipping costs, and other expenses and I'll get back to you. In the mean time, let me finish and polish my designs :)

Also in the works is a revamp of the hillstream and clown loach posters but those will come last.

I'm at a crossroads here... I need to decide whether I should keep the typographical patterns for the loaches or go for something else.

This style would be hard to do for some species (like skunks, modestas, etc.) but would be easy to do for striatas, kubs, and yoyos.

I guess what will happen is that if I can't put the names on the fish, I'll have to find another way of doing it.

Was thinking of doing zodiac signs since I already started with pisces but I realized that putting taurus and fish together will result in a demon yoyo loach...

But I'll probably do aquarius with a water change them to it. As well as a loachy dance theme with assorted loaches in dance poses and text that says "Join the dance" or something like that.

I better write these ideas down :P

Zodiac signs might be appropriate for Mesonoemacheilus triangularis a.k.a. Zodiac Loach.

I like the typographical pattern on the Yoyo poster a lot. 8)

Go for it Rocco! I like the sound of limited edition prints. A Botia series would be appealing to me.
