A documentary made by the local television...i doubt anyone apart from myself can understand the Malay language, but do see photos of the wild caught loaches and the environment.:)

Thanks CKK.

BTW I'll be in Malaysia on the first week of June. Any plan of loach expeditions in that period?

Cheers

In the second clip it is shown a Polypterus senegalus.

I thought that they were originary from Africa. Were they introduced or are also endemic of Malaysia?

marvelous. I loved learning that the Khuli loaches were described as Ikan Uller or fish snake. The Shop name being various forms of Ikan Ulat. Also made me feel warm inside hearing the commentator describing the largest of them as the length of a rocco or cigarette.

Thank you for the links.

Agreed, I've always thought they are native to Senegal (obviously). The fish in the video didn't look like any Polypterus senegalus I've ever seen.

Nevertheless, interesting videos, I always enjoy seeing the natural habitats, thank you very much for posting the links Chen. 8)
