My best guess is Gastromyzon stellatus.

City Farmers in Wembley, but I've also seen them at Vebas and Aquotix.bob d wrote:Which shop? I've never seen those around here.
My info is at least a month old, that's when I was last there.bob d wrote:I'd better get my skates on. I was at Vebas on Saturday and didn't spot any scooters at all. Thanks for the heads up.
Yes I agree it looks more like the pics of scitulus.Jim Powers wrote:Nice fish!
I think you might have G. scitulus.
There are often many different species mixed in together in Gastro shipments so give everything a good look.
Not sure... the fins might be a bit different. These guys don't seem to stretch out their fins very much, but you can just about see them in this shot, It could be an age thing, but I think ctenocephalus seems to have bigger blue spots on the dorsal.Jim Powers wrote: theonetruepath; You might want to also look at G. ctenocephalus. I have looked again at your pics and noticed the size of the barbels around the mouth. They protrude quite a bit which is more typical of ctenocephalus. Check out the profiles and pics in the species index for both species.
