Got these at City Farmers, where they think that one label that says "Rainbows" suffices for anything from Madagascar to Boesemani and Parkinsoni, so you have to ID everything yourself.

My best guess is Gastromyzon stellatus.

City Farmers in Wembley, but I've also seen them at Vebas and Aquotix.

My info is at least a month old, that's when I was last there.

These guys pop up reasonably often though all over. Or something pretty much like them, the suppliers never have any idea which species they are.

There are often many different species mixed in together in Gastro shipments so give everything a good look.

Yes I agree it looks more like the pics of scitulus.

I have 7 of them, bought in two batches, I guess I would have to take a macro shot of every one to know for sure whether they were all the same.

Apart from Basil, things are ok. Still no change, she still eats like a pig but doesn't put on weight. 4 flubendazole treatments haven't even done the trick.

theonetruepath; You might want to also look at G. ctenocephalus. I have looked again at your pics and noticed the size of the barbels around the mouth. They protrude quite a bit which is more typical of ctenocephalus. Check out the profiles and pics in the species index for both species.

Not sure... the fins might be a bit different. These guys don't seem to stretch out their fins very much, but you can just about see them in this shot, It could be an age thing, but I think ctenocephalus seems to have bigger blue spots on the dorsal.
