Absolutely! Heaters in Canada -- a must. (I used to live outside of Windsor , my mom and family are from Canada. :)

I only need a heater from November to April. I remove them from the tanks the rest of the year. I have extra heaters for backup just in case. We don't heat the house in winter, so it drops to 50's-60's.

yea, well we arent heating our house currently, but my room stays a constant 20ºc, but if its hot outside (like 30º+) then my room may rise to 22º or so.. still too cold for the fish

ok so i was looking at the hagen tronic and the visitherm stealth heaters, both pretty much the same price, and both 50w.. they seem to be the best heaters around (no ebo jagers or eheim). has anyone had any problems with these? i have a 50w tronic in my 10g and two 200w in my 70g without any problems
