Botia salwensis?

Post by Boymeat » Fri Jul 14, 2006 11:25 am

I recentely bought two loaches that were identified by the shop as botia salwensis (saluensis?). They are supposedly very rare, and cost me $20 each.

Gorgeous, dark brown with tan stripes and dots. They remind me of a mix between the botia kubotai and the botia almorhae.

Anyone know anything about these fish?

Anything like this?

That name suggests the Salween River as a possible source.

Martin.

Hmm. I am with Martin on this one. That is the only species that seems to make sense.

Keep us updated.
