Cherry shrimp, or any shrimp for that matter, can be tank mates with Yo Yo loaches. Is it possible? Would like to add a few, but not if they will become a meal. wink:
My tank has plenty of hiding spots. Anyone have good luck with this combo?
The other tank mates are corys and a rubbernose pleco. I'm fond of bottom feeders.

I tried ghost shrimp but they all disappeared, it could have been my rainbows? I have a wood/bamboo shrimp in with yoyos, zebras and clowns and haven't had any problems. This is a larger shrimp, near 3"

I have adult amano/japonica shrimp in a tank full of loaches, yoyos included. Never had a problem. Cherry shrimp disappear within a day though.

I keep cherry shrimp with my yo-yos and Rhinogobious Wui... (When I first put them in the tank, they were intended to be food.) The gobies definately eat (some of) them, but there seems to be enough thick vegetation in the tank and cherries are so prolific that still some in that tank... So maybe...

I keep my cherries with guppies and other shrimp. There are also a couple Bristlnoses and a Bamboo shrimp. I wouldn't even consider putting them with my loaches including yoyos.

I have a couple hundred now and they are doing great.
