Are kuli loaches affected by weather like weather loachs

reason i ask is my kuli is doing the race around the tank during the daytime with the lights on

only time i see em is when he pokes his head out of the new decoration i got him so the betta wouldn't be upset about the kuli using his cave for his hiding spot (it's perfect kuli cave it has very narrow opening that only the kuli can get into)
