Need help identifying parasite? in my snail tank

Post by chefkeith » Fri Sep 01, 2006 1:26 am

I'm not sure what this is. I think it might be a flatworm or something?
Here's some of the pics I took. This was crawling on the glass in my snail tank. It's about 4mm or 3/16" long.

There were many more but too small for the camera.
Could it be a snail? It has no shell or barbells though.

To me it looks like this- a Metacercaria (flatworm) also called a "white grub". It is the parasite refered to in black spot disease.

Just curious, what is the thing on top of the worm in the first pic? I get that in my tank, was just wondering was it was. :D

I think that is daphnia (a water flea).
