When I added two farlowella gracilis to the tank this morning, the smaller one went under the kuhli shelf, and a kuhli came over to sniff noses with him. The cat utterly ignored the kuhli, and the rebuffed kuhli gave up after half a minute, and squiggled off to his loach friends.
Unlike the angelfish, the kuhlis don't even try to eat the farlowellas' algae wafers, which might indicate angelfish choose food more by sight, and kuhlis more by smell.
Kuhlis just get along with everybody, and I love how they pack up like a pile of psychotic black-and-orange spaghetti! And what a cute little face they have.

You can tell my the farlowela's expression "I'm a twig, I'm a twig, stop sniffing me, I'm a twig, . . ."
