Tie downs for Plastic Plants to Wood

Post by jmz44 » Thu Nov 02, 2006 7:46 pm

Since I replaced the gravel with sand I've had a problem anchoring the plastic plants to the pieces of wood. The sand is not nearly as deep as the gravel was so I took the bottom boats off & tried wedging them into holes in the wood. That doesn't seem to be working very well - the antics of the clowns and the current from the submersible pump means the plants are soon floating on top.

My question is this - Is it ok to use plastic twist ties to anchor them to the wood?

Use high test fishing line and watch for sharp edges on the tied ends. Dont use twist ties tehres a metal wire in there

Why not get some anubias. Works the same, low light. java or windelov fern too
