Okay, I just have to point something out because while I'm sure keeping them in a 10 gallon tank since fall of '05 isn't great, I'm also sure that there are so many contributing factors. People should know that sometimes pet stores sell older fish that have been stunted already as young fish. I had a goldfish like this for years, everyone else grew rapidly and he barely did. I did research and called fish stores and heard this version over and over. While it's important to learn from mistakes, it's also important to realize that you did the best you did with the information you knew at the time, and it might have not been completely you. These might have been small, older fish to begin with and the damage had already been done. The damage could have cumulative when you inadvertently didn't give them ideal conditions.
Last, even with an old fish, he might not grow a lot, but I think you'll be suprised and how much this little guy will flourish in a larger tank, and might even grow a tiny bit.
