Found myself a new weather loach at this new pet store in town. I thought his markings were really neat, put him in with my lonely female. I also found these rather large Brochis splendens. The pictures don't do them justice. They are a little shy right now but coming around. She had 4 and I only got 2 but I am going back tomorrow for the others. Beautiful fish.

Now my little lady dojo will be lonely no more. Just wanted to share the PICS with you guys.

Thanks,
Kris

Thanks Martin, I thought so also. When I go back tomorrow to get the other 2 emeralds I am gonna pick up 2 more dojo's as well. I love the emeralds too, just wish they would come out and play. Can't wait to get them on a good diet and get some better pics of them.

I hope this finds you doing well.

Oh, a about a month ago I was way up in VA and saw some donkeys like the beautiful ones you used to post PICS of, even got to pet one....amazing animals.

Nice fish! B. splendens are among my favorites. I have a nice group of 8 myself. As for them coming out more, making the group bigger will definately help. Im pretty sure these are wild caught, which will also make them a bit shy. One way to get them out is to feed them, they love to eat! Also, they will come out at water changes and go crazy. But, if theres places for them to hide, they most likely will.

Thanks LoachOrgy, I was lucky to find them so large or I couldn't have put them in with my perch. I am a tad worried about them as they are so shy and I have had cories before and this is not what I am used to seeing so I will be getting the others tomorrow for sure.

Thanks,
Kris

Thanks Emma, I think he is handsome, hehe! I am going back tomorrow to get at least one more and the other 2 cories as I am worried about the ones I have. They stay in hiding and won't come out. Having cories before this is not the behavior I am used to seeing. I hope getting the other 2 helps.

Hope this finds you doing well.
