Clown loach color

Post by Fishlover888 » Mon Jul 23, 2007 2:25 pm

I saw some nice pics here with really pretty colors for clown loach. I wonder how come mine just not showing that kind of yellow and black. The colors are kind of dull for mine.

They (three of them) were in the tank for about 3 months now (about 2.5" each) and eating/playing fine. Don't see any problems so far. Just the color contrast is not that good. I wonder if there is anything I can do for them to bring out more color.

I feed them 2 times a day with different kind of flakes (have 6 or 7 of them rotating including a vigie flake) and frozen BW and other kind of frozen food.

Water is soft (pH 6.5) and temp is on the high end (86F). WCs twice a week (from 50 to 80% at a time)
125 g with 11 discus, 6 Sterba cories, 4 otos, 3 clown loaches, 50%-80% WC twice a week
