Beautiful fish! I especially like the pattern on that striata, seems almost tortoiseshell-like.

Helen, is that a rostrata in your 6th pic down if so how big is it, iv'e got to admit iv'e not had much luck with this species, out of over a dozen fish i have 2 healthy fish the rest died.
but i'm ready for another go at them when some come in.

Yes definately awesome Botia's. Yo Yos are very much under rated.

What size tank are they kept in? Or what size should they be kept in? :)

Mick, i believe it is a rostrata. its probably 3" long. you should have another go, as they are great fish. mine are well behaved. they are so interesting to watch as their markings change as they grow.

Robert, they are currently in a 400l, 5 foot long tank, soon to be upgraded to a slightly bigger tank. i wouldnt like to see my biggest yoyos in a tank much smaller, as they seem to enjoy the length of the tank for gliding along with the current from the spraybar

I know it's been mentioned a few times in this thread, but I have to mention it again. That striata is gorgeous---absolutely!!
