Hi Greame, having recently brought some of these, they are all getting on well & are now starting to fill out. To me they look simular so i am wondering how you sex them is it simply watching out for a fish to become gravid or are there any features colours that would help me sex them?

Hi The-Lion. As far as i'am aware, there is no difference in colours. However, when the female becomes gravid and you can see her swollen stomach, her colours are not as intense as the males.

Another good indicator is that when the females start becoming gravid, they tend to hide more in the substrate.
