How many kuhlis in a 36" 30 gallon?

I have my nine striped kuhlis still, and they are in the tank with just shrimp and two mystery snails. Now that the light is dimmer, I'm starting to see a few moving around during the daytime.
I have been thinking about adding dither fish, maybe some cardinal tetras, but my QT is full right now.

Also Richard Bias of New Jersey has generously offered his pangio oblonga babies in this thread.

My khullie set up is 24''x12''x12'' and I have 11 khullies. with 10 neons and it's an amazing little set up. The khullies do come out to play when I've got my lights on, but are deffinately more active when there not on.

I have just had a little prob with brown algae, which I think is now under control, but has left my plants a lttle bit worse for wear. So before I replace them I'm thinking of covering the tank floor with leaves (if I can find the article I read on this). If I do this I'm thinking that I wouldn't need a light, so my tank can therefore be moved to the bottom shelf on my unit freeing up the top shelf for the spare tank to sit on the top.
Your comments on the leaves in the tank and no lights would be much appriciated.

Your tank sounds very nice. I don't have any comments on covering the tank floor with leaves since I'm still learning. I'll wait to see what others have to say.

But if you do find that article could you please share where you found it? I'm interested in reading it.

Ihave been searching for article for a while now but can't find it, probably willcome across it. Like you I;m pretty much a begginer. I think I've read to much.
I googled "leaves in aquariums" where there is some information, but not the article I read.

Afraid it isn't the article I read, but none the less it is interesting.
The article was about oak leaves, most of the info I found this morning were referring to lower the Ph or softning the water. I'm sure I'llprobably stumble across it.
