A tangle of Tigers

Post by Emma Turner » Sat Apr 15, 2006 1:05 pm

We have a 4ft long stock tank for our Tiger loaches at the shop, as some grow quite large. Despite all this space, when they think that no-one is looking, they all gather into a big pile in the centre of the tank and lounge about. I see this quite often when we stay late and there are no customers around. This shot was taken by chance, as I was walking past with my camera in hand (so no comments about drips of water on the glass please, it was an opportunistic shot! ). In amongst this pile are S. berdmorei, S. hymenophysa, S. helodes, and also some Y. morleti. Enjoy:

Beautiful, Emma!!!
I particularly like the one on the rock. I don't think I have ever seen one that colorful.
And...a "tangle of tigers" is very appropriate.

Splendid shot, Emma! No matter the loach, it helps to see them in big numbers.
