Posting for my mother in law. She has a single Clown loach in her tank. After seeing this site, I suggested to her that they do better in groups of 3 or more. She's going to get two more, but she has a question, do the other two have to be Clown loaches, or will their single clown buddy up with different loach species as well?
Thought I'd pose the question to the experts.....
Thanks so much!

Hi gizmo,
Clown loaches are incredibly social fish and absolutely must be kept with their own kind. Three is a minimum, five or more is better.
Have a read of the species profile for further information (maybe you could print it off and show to your mother-in-law?): http://www.loaches.com/species-index/cl ... cracanthus
