Yes, we were aware of messages going out like that.
Mark contacted TFH and was told the books will arrive next week. All advance orders - through all Amazon outlets, through the magazine, and to bookstores - will be shipped at once from the TFH warehouse.

Too Cool :):)

Since I didn't pre-order, where can I get the new book? I really would rather give my business to a local store, but if Amazon is my only choice....

OH, and what is the title so I can find it

It's called "Loaches: Natural History & Aquarium Care" and the ISBN is 0793806208.

We have to get that book here, I know several people who are eagerly waiting for it. Any idea when/how the Dutch can get a copy? (I never buy anything from Amazon because I don't have a credit card.)

You'll have to ask a local bookshop to find out who distributes TFH in the Netherlands. In theory, they should be able to order it for you. I'll ask the publisher if they have distribution there.

That would be great Mark.
We have a good national chain of bookstores which also has a great store here in the city of Nijmegen, I'll ask them (although the website doesn't list the book yet).

You have to understand that very few general bookstores are going to order this book for their shelves - that's my belief, anyway. Too obscure. But they should all have access to it for special orders. I'll let you know what I hear from the publisher.

All European sales for TFH are handled by a company called Interpet. It may be easier to order the book through fish shops, rather than bookstores.

If anyone has any luck with this, please post the information.

Books can also be ordered direct from TFH, but there will be substantial shipping charges on international orders. And Amazon will also be carrying the book.

Thanks Mark, I'll look into it. I'll try both a regular bookstore and a petshop/aquarium store.
