L guntea?

Post by mickthefish » Thu Jan 24, 2008 11:33 am

i got 6 of these from one of the shops i go to, i think piggy4 also got some from the same outlet.
i would like the opinion of you guys as to wether these are guntea or another species, all have the same markings with a bit of variation in how many spots they have.
i'm sure piggy4 is also pondering over these.
here's a pic of one of them for your scrutiny.

look foreward to your opinions.

No opinion to offer Mick, but as usual I'm in awe of your photography!
Why does my aquarium always seem too small?

Wow. That is an amazing shot.
If I can see you, you are too close.

Hi Mick,

I would say yes, they are guntea. And I think it's a female.

Looks like a juvenile Lepidocephalichthys guntea with a few interesting markings to-wards the rear of the body. I think i can see a Schistura beavani on the left. Are these around 2 inches TL, Mick?
