Where to buy Sinibotia?

Agreed, Jim. We've kept them for the summer a couple of times. They are protective of their chosen area of substrate. Not good for other territorial bottom dwellers (or small dithers, either!).

oh, ok. I was asking about the sunfish b/c I have a 4-inch pumpkinseed sunfish in my 55 gallon former loach tank, since all the loaches were wiped out by ich. Since it's currently my only heated coldwater tank kept at 68 degrees, i figured if i found sinibotia I could keep them in there for a bit. If I do find some too soon, then I'll have to get a divider.
My loaches:
5 kubotai
5 almorhae
5 kuhli
5 zebra
1 aborichthys

To be honest I have no idea whatsoever. I hadn't added any new fish for over a month and a half, it wasn't overstocked, and the water quality was fine. It may have been from using a net from my new goldfish tank in that tank but i'm not sure...anyway, the 1 survivor, my pleco, didn't show any signs of ich for more than 6 months so I decided to add the small sunfish, and ich has yet to reapear.
