Nice looking loaches. But is there any shelter for them in that tank?

Is it normal for them all to be grey'd out like that? I thought they only did that when squabling over food

It's probably a response to the lack of cover.

Yep...i have some pipes for them...prior to taking these photos, they were fighting..(2 11 inches) and that makes them 'nervous'.:)

Plus the black and white gravel causes the clowns to have these grayish effect
