Hi oliv, welcome to Loaches Online. :D

Could you provide more spawning details for us please? Was this achieved naturally, or via hormone treatment/stripping?

Many thanks,

Emma

Are you able to share any further information? How large are the adults?

Nice pictures. Could you provide more info for us on the process and how the fry are reared? Water parameters , diet etc.
So many species of fish yet so little time, space and money to keep them all...

I used google to try to roughly translate that website and this is what it said in regards to size and age of parents.

7-8 years old
12-13 cm

Hi Oliv,
Really neat pictures! For the last picture "20 дневная личинка Боции клоуна" is the baby loach 20 days old? I took Russian 15 years ago, so I don't remember much! I've never seen a picture of a baby clown, it's really amazing :)

Michelle,
You right in translation, it is 20-day old baby clown loach. Some other pictures on russian site show 2-day old fry pictured on newspaper background (Личинка Боции клоуна ), 3-day old fry (Личинка Боции клоуна 3 сутки после выклева ), and 5-day old fry (Личинка Боции клоуна 5 сутки).

Based on posts there Oliv has about 100 baby clowns... I can help further translate if you are interested once I back from work...

Oliv,

I just wanted to say congratulations, very impressive and very interesting pictures.

Age of adult fishes 7-8 years
Bought by the size 5sm
The fish was brought from Singapore
Grew in an aquarium of 200 litres
Parameters of water 8 DH, 4 KH
At first there were 6 pieces
As a result of selection subsequently
One was left female and two male
By the size about 12-13 sm
For last two years there were three attempts to copy
The caviar was substandard
With male the problems were not
The successful attempt has taken place on February 17, 2008
Now to small fishes the month is equal
The size about 1 sm
To adult fishes two injections hormone hypofiz Abramis brama were made
With an interval 20 hours, the maturing has taken place in 6 hours after last injection
The development of caviar passed at temperature of 25 degrees in the end is smoothly lifted up to 28
During 18 hours, the caviar got over, water was changed
Parameters of water 2DH, KH < 1
The development of caviar passed in an aquarium of 70 litres
In total viable was about 300 fry
After sorting remained about hundred high-grade and strong fry
Necessarily there will be new photos!

Diet most ordinary, I do not know as will be on English
Then I shall write on latin
